Frank Chirat of Mission Viejo developed his love of cars in the early '60's. High school auto shop, Junior college AA with a major in auto technology. Started as a new car prep. technician at Park Chrysler-Plymouth in Chicago. I had the tough duty of prepping and road testing the new Road Runner, GTX's and Barracudas. Earned a Master Technician certificate from Chrysler Corporation after attending the corporate technician training. Earned a BA degree from California State University at Los Angeles with a major in Automotive Technology and Graphic Arts and Design. While finishing college, enlisted in the Air Force and was assigned as a Motor Pool specialist working on 2 1/2 ton transport trucks. .
Upon graduating, was hired by Ford Motor Company in Los Angeles for the newly formed Ford Customer Service Division with positions of Zone Service Manager, Zone Parts Manager and ending a 13 year career as the Lincoln Commitment Manager.
After a short 20 year absence, I returned the industry I loved and became the Internet Sales Manager for Crevier BMW. In addition I have worked several of the Russo Steele car auctions. Finally retiring from Crevier BMW in 2016.
I have been a classic car guy for many years and have a 1968 Shelby GT 500 Cobra since 1981, fully restored and having earned 38 first place trophy's 9 Best of Shows and a host of other awards, a 1967 Barracuda Formula S, 383, 75% original and currently restoring a 1967 Hillman Husky Salon Wagon with only 6,500 miles on it. Last year, I added a 1965 Triumph TR4 Surrey Top to my collection.
