An exceptional classic British roadster, this 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 is a gorgeously restored example. The powerful 3-liter 3000 Mark III of 1964-1968 became the archetypal “Big Healey.” This legendary engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, and performs beautifully in this collectible convertible. Completed on March 18th 1964 and dispatched from the works eight days later, this 3000 Mark III convertible was built to left-hand drive North American specification. Options included the adjustable steering column, black tonneau cover, a heater, electric overdrive, road speed tires, laminated windscreen and a miles per hour speedometer. A former owner had it restored in a ground up restoration by British Motor Corporation of Pennsylvania. The mileage shows 8089, which has accrued since the restoration. The beautiful green paint highlights a very straight body accented by chrome wire wheels. It is offered with a black soft top in excellent condition, as well as a photo album documenting the restoration process. This is an outstanding Healey for local shows, as well as driving and enjoying.
